SWLs » SWL Confirmation Questions Nov 22, 2014 05:24 AM (Total replies: 7)

I received a message from eQSL about an SWL entry looking for confirmation.

From what I'm reading, the person included all the relevent information (He told me about the date and time he was listening, and who I was talking to at the time). The problem is that if I confirm it, I apparently am required to create a QSO in my own log to match it.

This is a problem.

I have no interest or desire to create a QSO in my log with a person I did not actually speak to. I'm glad he heard me, and I'd like to acknowledge it, but if it means creating a bunch of entries for people I haven't actually had any direct contact with, then that's an issue.

And I'm pretty sure if I were to create the QSO, it would be sync'd back to my local logger, which would then reject it because IZxxxxSWL is not a valid callsign format.

Is there something I'm missing?
