Support - English speaking » Can't get cards to print in Chrome anymore Sep 17, 2015 05:32 AM (Total replies: 0)

Something changed recently. I can't seem to get my Win7 or Win8.1 to convert the printable 4x6 card images to pdf so I can use the Adobe Acrobat Reader printing dialogue to go landscape on the card. I did a whole batch of cards a few weeks ago. Now when I try to print using the Nitro PDF device from Google Chrome browser, there is no way to specify Landscape. Did Chrome change, or did something else change?

This is what worked in the past:
1. Click the 4x6 printable button on the card image.
2. right click on the image to bring up Chrome Print
3. Select Nitro as the printer (creates a pdf)
4. Select the page size as 4x6
5. Select Landscape
6. Hit Print
7. Save file as screen pops up with file name already there: "QSL card from KJ6WWM.pdf"
8. Repeat until all cards are in pdfs.

The resulting file contains the QSL card with 4x6 sizing and landscape orientation by default. This is supposed to make it easy to print. It's not working anymore. The file results in a 4x6 card with the QSL card image printed portrait at the top of the card, and a big blank space under it. No. Matter. What. I. Do.

Later:
1. Click on the pdf I want to print. (now we are in Adobe land)
2. Click on print icon.
3. Specify paper size from pdf (4x6)
4. Specify Auto Landscape/Portrait
5. Hit Print
6. Drag pdf into my Saved QSL Cards folder.
7. Repeat until all cards are printed. (these 7 steps still work)

I think my problem is with Google Chrome Browser Version 45.0.2454.85 m

I just noticed that Chrome needs a relaunch to finish updating, but it did this with both of my computers, so I won't get my hopes up.

Looking for ideas to print these cards quickly and consistently.
Thanks, and 73
