Getting more eQSLs » User profile - last login/eQSLs waiting Oct 2, 2019 06:55 PM (Total replies: 2)

Thanks for reply / clarification.

You confirmed my thoughts ... if somebody's profile say last login 5 years ago and 20000 eQSL's waiting it's probably not worth sending them a SWL QSL. It will just disappear into the pile in their inbox.

I realise many operators might not respond to SWL reports so I am trying to be a little selective. I generally try to include some form of personal message and details of the QSOs I heard them working. I have also been trying to limit historic reports to those where there is something unique for me - 1st for country, IOTA etc or a more distant DX.

Tnx

Sorry if this is a 'newbie' question but recently joined eQSL.cc so just getting to grips with everything.
Generally before sending a QSL I check the profile of the intended recipient here and on other databases. For many people I see they say on QRZ.com or QRZCQ.com that they accept eQSL.cc. However when I check their profile here it shows the 'last login' as several years ago with 100's, 1000's or even 10000's of eQSL's waiting for them.

Are these people using other logging software with interfaces to eQSL.cc to pick-up and process their QSLs without it registering on their profile or is their account effectively not used, even if it is still technically 'active'?

Just want to make sure I am not wasting time and clogging inboxes/disc storage sending QSLs here if there is no chance the recipient will ever see it or pick it up.

Appreciate any advice.
