Dear forum,

In my experience, Eqsls from mobile/portable operation are somewhat problematic. Normally, according to the regulations we need to follow, the operator adds some suffix (or prefix) to notify his operating condition and this combination is stored in the others' logs. When uploading his qsos into eqsl.cc only his/her basic callsign (based on the account being used) is applied and all the portable/mobile qsos remain unverified until manually corrected by each and every recipient. Is this someting we just have to live with (a feature as the software developers put it) or can someone propose a good procedure to follow ?

Heikki,
I agree that they can be a problem. I think that a station with a prefix or suffix needs to establish a seperate linked account for a specific operation. If x1xxx operates from pj2/x1xxx, that ham should set up an account for that operation and those specific dates. Incoming eQSLs should then be able to match on that account. Based on the AG status of x1xxx, pj2/x1xxx should also get AG status. If x1xxx plans to go back to pj2/ then the end date could be sometime in the future (as long as it's from the same location/dx entity).

Mobile QSOs are a bit more tricky because a person may never go that way again. So, those QSOs should go against the home call with an /M account (x1xxx/M) and the correct location info should be in the comments section. I guess this could go for /MM and /AM accounts also.
Just my ideas/feelings,
