Well, that was the latest Biggie, the IARU HF Contest

A number of new DXCCs logged, as well as a good number of HQ stations. But having uploaded my log, I see that only a few stations have an eQSL account (let alone an active one) whereas many are LOTW users.

Now, clearly, a contest QSO is not the time to talk about eQSL but does anyone have any suggestions?

All you can do is upload your logs and hope that sometime in the future the station you worked will get interested in eQSL and upload their logs too. Every so often I will get an eQSL from an old QSO, sometimes a QSO from years ago, and that is someone that has finally decided to join eQSL and upload their logs. Always nice when I get one of those eQSL's :)

In my experience the worst return from eQSL's is from DXpeditions and contests, however I do get *some* returns. I send eQSL's for every QSO, even to those stations that state they are not interested in eQSL, because sometimes they change their mind.

I upload my logs to eQSL automatically, so there's no realistic way to not send to those people who say "no eQSL"... I just assume I'll not be getting an eQSL reply from them.

I don't do LotW, but I do paper QSLs (I like to collect the postcards) so I get the confirmatoin one way or another :)

I think the best has been PSK31 for getting States and countries on eQSL. I participate in most contests casually sometimes not even submitting an official log to ARRL or whatever, mainly trying to increase my States or Countries on here.

I can't help but think I've got more of my states (only 3 left now in Mixed eWAS) contacted - just getting them confirmed on here may be the problem.

Is there a way to search by partial calls signs and by State or Country? Because it is a daunting task to go through the list of all of my contacts and "Notify" all of the ones that are needed. Is it possible that a ham could be in a state and different call sign area and not be counted on here? How is the state determined?

Anyway need ...

IA
ND
UT

for my eWAS mixed. If anyone is in those states and would like to make an on the air meeting or schedule - please contact me.

Now if I can just extend my PSK31 data cable about 12 feet it can reach the desktop PC - since my laptop died and I have not been on Digital Modes in too many months!
