I have been doing this for a very long time. when I look at my inbox, i simply check the archive box and assume that the confirmation/eqsl is generated for each one.

is this a bad assumption ?????

it just isn't practical to try and confirm/notify all those archived cards.

Yes, bad assumption, unless you also upload your logs or manually confirm the eqsl cards.

Without that the other party will never receive one.

I think what most of us do is log our QSO's electronically, I use HRD here. Most electronic logging programs have the ability to auto-load the QSO to eqsl.

David,
When your uploaded QSO matches another Ham's uploaded QSO, an eQSL is automatically generated to each account's InBox and display only the Archive button. If a ham uploads a QSO for you and you have not uploaded a matching QSO, your InBox will contain an eQSL that needs to be either confirmed or rejected by using those buttons. If you just archive that eQSL it will not be confirmed or rejected. Also, if you only display an eQSL without confirming or rejecting and then go to another page, it will be archived automatically. Notifications for eQSLs will be sent out by the system if a ham has that option in his/her profile.

In other words if there are NOT those buttons to create a confirmation or deny it ... then you can safely assume that the other ham got the eQSL to his IN BOX.

It's logical ... as Mr. Spock would say. If you don't have a way, a button to confirm, then you can't do that. Because???? Because you don't have to.
