All my JT65A QSLs have the mode specified as simply JT65 and I've received hundreds of matching QSLs. Just today I found one in my in box which specified "JT65A" which didn't match, even though all other particulars were correct. I manually created a new QSL with mode specified as JT65A in order to satisfy the sender.

Shouldn't the system recognize that JT65 and JT65A match?

Bert,
Apparently eQSL recognizes JT65, JT65A, JT65B and JT65C as different modes. You can find more info here:
