Hi!

Since recently (server change?) the eQSL.cc ADIF download to HRD's logbook is not working anymore? What has happend?

HRD Utility from WD5EAE returns an error saying "Could not find ADIF file in the HTML return"
New version of HRD (5.11) also returns an error : ADIF log file reference not found

Any new settings I have missed somewere since server change?

I know nothing about the HRD Utility from WD5EAE, but know a little about HRD.

There were some changes made to HRD V5.11.

Before you start the download please check the date field.

When you are in the logbook screen, My Logbook->More->eQSL.cc->Download, if a user has never entered a date in the "Since" field, the year defaults to 1899. If you don't change the year to something reasonable the download will fail.

We have had quite a few support emails about this, and changing the year fixed the problem.

IT WORKED IT WORKED!
So the problem with the WD5EAE tool seems to be the date also!
It was a nice tool that also downloaded the JPG's

Thanks a lot Dave.

Changing the date in HRD made it work for you in HRDU? It didn't change anything for me. I still get the popup. I can download it in HRD but I would like to get my Eqsl cards downloaded to be able to view them. I'll keep trying from what I hear they are working on a solution for HRD Utilities.
Thanks.

Changing the date worked for me also. I tried a date of 6/1/1950 first and it still failed. Changed the date to 6/1/1980 and it worked fine.

The latest version of HRD , 5.22 I think, is doing it differently. It that version they don't save the date at all, they default to the current date. The download won't fail using that method, however the chance of actually getting any data is slim :P

What they *should* be doing is remembering the date of the last download and using that as the default date for the next download.

Remembering the date of the previous download (as a default) is the way the beta versions of HRD work. I am still using using the beta version of HRD and it works fine for me (so far).

You guys are referring using HRD not HRD Utilities by WD5EAE? Where you go to More-eqsl.ccc-download. I would like to download my qsl cards not just have my logbook updated to show I got a eqsl from someone. I got spoiled using HRD Utilities for so long. Doing it one at a time doesn't quite cut it. Thanks.

Bob:

I have contacted the author of HRD Utilities by WD5EAE but he has not responded to my E-mails. HRD Utilities needs some bugs fixed in order to work properly.

There is a German program called HamOffice that does download eQSL cards in batches. Unfortunately, there is no English version of that program.

As I said in a previous post, WD5EAE needs to update his program -- there is nothing we can do from the eQSL side of things.

I appreciate your work. I also sent him an email but no reply. I did see the Hamoffice program but don't know German. Thanks
