Hi
This is my first posting so please forgive me if I have posted my question in the wrong forum.
I operate on PSK31 in QRP mode using 4 watts. I suffix my callsign 2E0MKT with /QRP. Do I have to register this as a new account and add it to my existing one?

Many thanks

Tim,
First of all, /QRP is an invalid suffix. /P and /M are ok, But /QRP is not recognized in the ADIF format which is used by most logging programs. I would just add the QRP info in the comments section of your QSO along with your power setting. Have you gotten any eQSLs for your /QRP suffix?

We however allow an account to be created with a '/QRP' suffix. I see you have done that and that it is attached to your main call which is ok, any eQSLs coming into that account will be added to your main account for credit.

But going forward, it is not a good idea to sign your QSOs using that suffix for the reasons Andy pointed out, even though I see many OP's doing that in the digital modes; the other station might not be able to add that call to his log because of the illegal suffix.

If you want to indicate you are QRP you do do it as part of your CQ I suppose, something like "CQ CQ CQ de 2E0MKT 2E0MKT (QRP) PSE K"

Thank you for the replies (Andy N1ORK & Dave VA3KAB)

As a result of your comments I will remove the /QRP suffix from my callsign to avoid any confusion. I have also deleted the /QRP account as well.

From now on I will just use 2E0MKT and add a QRP comment in the CQ and in the body of the QSO.

Thank you for your guidance.
