I think eQSL should move to include only those who have authenticity guaranteed status and give others a deadline to get this status or be denied "membership". Too many times I have made a QSO with a station that I need for an award only to find out that they aren't AG and therefore don't count. If eQSL wants to be taken more seriously it should move to this requirement.

Hi Vince ..... i´m with you. The same here. Have some DX´s in my eQSL archive that not counting for an eQSL or DARC award (we can use in DL eQSL to apply a lot of awards but non AG don´t counts).

You´re idea with the "deadline" is great, hope it will be realised

Yes, it would be nice if all the hams on eQSL were AG. What I do is if I get a confirmation from non AG, is to send them an email requesting them to become AG. For instance, in my Archive I have one confirmation from Croatia who is not AG. I click on his call link and it brings up an email window. Then I click on the AG request button which enters an AG request message. GThen I just hit the send button and the AG request is sent to the ham. If the other ham then becomes AG, your eQSL will automatically count for eAwards. Don't forget, we also allow SWLs to use this system and I don't think they have an AG process too use. So lets verify our Archives and InBoxes and send out the AG request messages.

Unfortunately, not all hams agree to receive unsolicited mail: just a few minutes ago I received an eQSL from Guatemala (which would have been a new one for me in electronic form), but the sender has no AG status and also refuses to receive mail, thus preventing me from asking him to upgrade his status. If AG was mandatory, this would have not been a problem.

The weird thing on top of that is that I already received since long his paper QSL (a very nice one and also with some extra stuff included, like stickers and more), so I am OK for my DXCC but not for my eDX...

I'm pretty sure I know the station from Guatemala you are talking about, I just received four from him yesterday for QSOs I have had with him over the years, some going back to 2007.

It looks like he just uploaded all his logs to eQSL. When you check his qrz.com profile he says that he does not use eQSL or LOTW, but if he now has uploaded his logs maybe he is having second thoughts.

Hopefully he will get AG too one of these days, and once he does, all those old eQSL cards will count for credit.

I just received two more eQSLs from the station in GUATEMALA this morning, QSOs from 2010 and 2011 this time. I've worked him many times over the years, very active station.

Plus!! He now has AG :) So, it looks like he has changed his mind about using eQSL :)
