Hello all,
I have been a member for about a year now and out of the 500 + EQSL's I have in my outbox I can only send about 15% of the other EQSL members a email letting them know that a card awaits them. My poin: What's the use of signing up on EQSL and then blocking a email from another member who has made a contact with you and has no way of letting you know that your card is there? Whats the point of joining EQSL if you block members from letting you know a card is read
A whole bunch of my DX cards will never be verified as I can not send an email to the other party. USA hams also have no emails.
This makes NO SENSE to join EQSL!

Some users don't like receiving emails from other users, that is their choice.
But you don't need to send them an email to tell them you have sent them an eQSL, they can see the eQSL the next time they check their inbox.
Also, most users, well over 90% I would guess, send eQSLs via auto-upload from their logging program or via ADIF upload, so if you are in their log you will receive an eQSL once they have done that.

I don't block emails, but I have to be honest, I'm not super interested in receiving an email every time I get an eQSL. Even with an email, I'm not going to do anything about it until I next log in... and my log in times are completely unrelated to the emails I receive.
