I have identified 185 QSOs where the time was off by 5 hours (through correspondance with an eQSL member). I have done a mass correction using DX4WIN, and created a new ADIF file. How can I mass delete the 185 QSOs in eQSL so that the upload will not be considered duplicates? If I don't delete them first, how would they be considered duplicates if the time was off by 5 hours? Would they create 185 new QSOs?

Hi John:

I am not an expert in this, but I believe that the new ADIF file's QSO records would be considered to be separate and unique QSOs.

"Would they create 185 new QSOs?" AFAIK, Yes, there would be 185 new QSO records created within your OUTBOX.

This is easy enough to test yourself. Delete all but the first two or three QSO records from your DX4WIN ADIF file, and name the resultant file, e.g., TESTdx4win.adi, and upload to the database server. Then view your OUTBOX to see that those QSO records exist. You could enter the callsign of the three or four stations and interrogate your OUTBOX for QSO records for those stations.

There is no easy "mass delete" of the existing 185 (5-hour offset) QSO records. I believe each would need to be deleted manually, unless they are chronologically consecutive (block of) QSOs.

I hope that this helps you ? ?
