Hello everybody.
I am Antonio, nice to meet all of You.

I am Ham radio OP since 2006 and i am a user of EQSL since 2009.
First of all : my compliments for the idea, for developing project, to trust into.

Secondo of all i would like to ask something because i am very very VERY curious.
In the 2013, while NASA is approaching Mars, in a new era where everybody use a smartphone, apple, android... in the 2013 where there somebody develop multimedial GLASS,
where there is HUBBLE, the telescope, that take beatiful marvellouse PHOTOGRAPHES of DEEP SKY... 2013 where we can save life with defibrillator, pacemaker, ablation procedure with ROBOTIC..........

the EQSL . CC electronic QSL CARD centre, one of the most....SORRY i am SORRY..

THE ONLY e-qsl project on the face of planet EARTH has a terrificant, ugly,
humiliating, shaming, embarassing, degrading, discourauging, indignity

G R A P H I C

of 103984729104829201 billions of page existing on the internet.

I am without WORDS.
WITHOUT W O R D S.

Because i think you get a lot LOT LOT of $ from people ..(awards, gold, silver members..)
WHAT .... ARE YOU WAITING FOR REFRESH THIS WEBSITE???

I AM WITHOUT WORDS.

Thank you for explaining why the graphic (despite the function) of this website is CRAP

Antonio,
I believe you are referring to the way eQSL looks when you first log in to your home page. The way I understand it is that Dave (N5UP) is working on improving the graphical interface for eQSL. However, there are some users that still may be using slower dial up modems to access eQSL so we have to try and accommodate those users also. I say be patient and let's see what they come up with. Until then, have fun and enjoy eQSL.
73 and good luck!

Well Antonio, for someone that says multiple times that you are "WITHOUT WORDS" you seem to have a lot of them.

You say "Because i think you get a lot LOT LOT of $ from people"

You don't have a clue what you are talking about.

The truth of the matter is that more than 90% of the users on this site have never donated at any level, not even bronze.

This site has run since day one as non profit, because that's the way Dave, N5UP, wants to run it. Any money made from the small amount (less than 10%) of the users that donate, and advertising revenue, goes back into keeping the site online, multiple servers, secure facility, monitored 24 hours a day by two separate network operation centers, etc. All that costs money, and lots of it.

Everyone that works here to answer support emails, approve awards, approve AG applications, translate pages into other languages, etc., does so on a volunteer basis, we donate our time because we believe in the concept and want the site to succeed.

Thanks for all your kind reply.

Well.. i don't think dial up sluggish modems are still present in 2013 ...

Two years ago (with another callsign) i decided to donate $ to eQsl.cc and became a silver member. I was happy because i was thinking to help you: after 2 years of THE SAME LOOKING website i decided to abandon donate my money.

You re right dear David: i haven t clue how much money N5UP is got...
but what i think is necessary, AB SO LU TE LY , is not a new graphic interface for this website
but only

decent - proper - decorous - respectable - seemly - modest eQSL

It is humiliating to see 5 kind of eQSL, with 64 colours, ( neither 64k colours or 1 million of colour)... only a scale of 64 colours..

i think that quality of SSTV images sent via RADIO are better than quality of yours.

I am not here to criticize you, because i am part of this eQsl and i am very very happy to be part of. I would only to inform you that maybe in 2013, after 10 years of work, ....is time to RENEW almost the part of eQSL ...

Could you imagine beatiful, 16 millions colors, eQSL, printable on BOTH side, with electronic sign..of each ham radio op? And not a 24 colours in a little window of your left side of the screen.. with TEXT OVER IMPRESSED in TERRIFICANT CHARACTERS. I had palpitations every time i receive a new eQSL.

It would be faboulous, fantastic. SUPER.

You can't? Because it is too expensive for actual your fund?
WELL - Since eQSL is the ONLY electronic QSL card centre in teh world... and is the best project of ham radio since MARCONI was born...

LET's introduce a annual fee of 2 $ of each of member.

I think that EVERYBODY - literally EVERYBODY - would like to PAY 2 $ each year to OBTAIN
a better eQSL.cc service.. Almost ONE, SINGLE, DECENT eQSL in A4 or postcard format!

Well, if everyone who is an eQSL member were to pay $2 per year, then more than enough money would be generated so that Dave could afford to hire a programmer to help with site improvements.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with your comment: "I think that EVERYBODY - literally EVERYBODY - would like to PAY 2 $ each year to OBTAIN a better eQSL.cc service"

In my experience most hams are cheap, especially when it comes to software; they think it should be free. I'll bet if we started charging even a lousy $2.00 per year we would have people leaving the site in droves, and would discourage new users from joining.

Instead we offer incentives to encourage users to donate, having a nicer eQSL card is one, and despite your comments I have seen some very nice cards indeed! Also the eAwards program.

But if users are not interested in those things that is fine, we still want them to join the site and upload their logs, and get AG status (also free) so that their eQSLs can be used by the users that are interested in the eAwards program.

So, that is where we are at today. While the volunteers help with the day to day stuff as I explained above, all of the programming and site maintenance is done by Dave. He has a ton of things on his to-do list, and upgrading the site graphics is one of them, but he is only one guy and there are only so many hours in the day.

I seem to remember reading that the majority of people upload their logs automatically from software such as Ham Radio Deluxe. If this is the case most of the users of the eQSL service would never see any changes done to the interface or website.
