I am having trouble printing a card in the A6 format. I select A6 landscape. it doesnt fill the card and i get extraneous text at the border. suggestions?

Joe,
There should be an option for your printer to print photos (A6) without borders (border-less printing). Have you looked for that? I'm not sure what that extraneous text at the border is, it may be the eQSL copyright notice that prints on the bottom of each eQSL. It may have to do with your eQSL display option in your profile, jpg or png.
