First, my apology if this has been asked before, but I found nothing with a search. I had several eqsl's in my inbox, but had not looked at them. I uploaded my log and downloaded the inbox.

Now, when I went back to the inbox to actually view the cards, the inbox was empty. Do you lose all the cards in the inbox when you download them? They aren't in the archive either.

Are the cards now lost for viewing? I do have the confirmations in my "Amateur Contact Log".
Learning as I go. Thanks for any information. Any time on my radio and computer is time escaping from the honey do list!

No eQSLs are lost when you download your inbox. I see you have a few accounts with us, contact support using the "Help!" link at the top of this page, tell us the account (callsign) you are having this issue with, and maybe give us one or two of the contacts that are missing (if you downloaded your inbox, they will be in the ADIF file you downloaded)

Most likely the problem is with the callsign/QTH effective date which is set in the 'My Profile' page, you can only send/receive eQSLs that fall within this date range, but without knowing which account you are having the problem with I can't troubleshoot more than that.
