Hi,

I have not received the QSL cards that I recently requested to be printed and mailed to me. My last couple of such requests involved a significant number of cards and cost me most of my built-up balance in my Postage Account at eQSL.cc.

This development (not receiving requests for printed/mailed eQSL cards) is a relatively recent problem. Historically, such requests were always handled very promptly and professionally.

I think I explained the situation to you when you sent us an email over in support, but for the benefit of other users that may have the same problem I will explain what is going on here too.

From day one, all of the printing, stuffing envelopes, attaching address labels and postage, and going to the post-office has been done by Dave, N5UP. As you can imagine this is a very time intensive operation. A few months ago Dave decided to hire a third party printing company to take on this task, which would free him up to do some much needed work on other areas of the site.

Well, to say that it has been a total disaster would be an understatement! Nothing but problems with them with users not getting their cards, both eQSL cards and AG cards. It seems the problem was they were using a Pak Mail Office to drop the cards off, and then the US Postal service was supposed to pick them up there. Problem is some seemed to drop into a black hole, US Postal Service doesn't know where they are.

So, last week Dave fired the third party company and took back the printing and mailing chores. He is slowly going through a huge backlog of items that need to be printed.

Now!! Here is the big problem we are having at this end trying to recover from this. We can check the status of the print queue here, we can see when orders have been placed and when they are printed. But we have no way of knowing which of the items that show as being printed didn't make it to their destination due to the problems mentioned above.

So if anyone has placed an order and never received their cards, please contact us in support using the "Help!" link at the top of this page. If the items show as being printed they probably got lost in the mail, in which case we will reprint them.

The last envelope (containing a batch of printed eQSL cards) that I received from eQSL is dated May 16, 2015! The "latest" QSL card in this batch was this one as shown in the My Postage section (http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/PostageAccount.cfm) of eQSL.cc:

It takes a few months to get cards, that is not likely to change any time soon.

That being said, some of your cards show as being printed. The ones for 23-Jan show as being printed on 31-March. I'll see if I can find out when/if they have been mailed.
