I have a fine graphic on my qsl card but decided to change is slightly. I thought I'd just edit my old one and reupload. Bad idea! Not only the new one doesn't work but the old one is gone too. After I uploaded the new one, the site displayed the old one instead right after the upload and asked me to click on a link to verify it. When I do that the web site gives a huge long error message for the webmaster. I can't find anywhere on the site how to contact the webmaster. I did get my qsl to display by picking a ugly solid blue background but I want my old graphic back. I promise never to try to change it again!

Lots of links to contact the webmaster, one is at the top of this page, the "Help!" link.

Send us an email and attach the graphic you are trying to upload so we can have a look at it.

THANKS! All the other "help" links I tried took me to the FAQ which didn't help. I will try this one. Thanks again!

Progress is being made! I "cut and pasted" my cry for help into the web message field but didn't see a way to attach a file so that will have to wait for later. The file is just the edited version of the one I used before. It is the proper size and format (still.) Funny thing is that my old graphic is showing alongside these forum messages. Wonder why it doesn't show on my eqsl cards?

Hi Jim,

I received your message in the support queue and gave you instructions on how to send us an attachment.

Before you do that, please try the following:

Load that new graphic you made into Microsoft Paint. Don't make any changes to it. Use the "save as" dialogue and save it as a different file name, JPG file. Then try and upload that new file as your eQSL graphic.

Can you try that first?

I had opened the file in Photoshop and did the "save as" with a different name before posting here initially. I really did try everything I could think of before asking for help. I will try it again.

Problem solved! I tried using different options in the Photoshop jpeg "save as" dialog instead of accepting the default settings. In particular, I unchecked "embed color profile" and changed "progressive" to "baseline optimized". I still wonder why my old graphic didn't work when I tried uploading it. It worked from November 2011 until this week. In any case, I will leave the new graphic for all of 2014 (with the 100 years of ARRL logo) and see what happens next year when I want to change it back. Thanks for your help. Computers can be very frustrating for us all!

Good show!

The reason I suggested Microsoft paint is that even though you don't make any changes to the file, paint re-writes the header info slightly in a way that the system here understands. It's fixed every graphics type problem I seen so far anyway :)
