Hello all,

I know that normally when sending an eQSL it says "Confirming 2-way (mode) QSO". I had never given it any thought but recently I saw an eQSL received by an SWL saying "Confirming SWL reception of (mode) QSO".
When I confirm an SWL report, will my eQSL automatically say "Confirming SWL reception of (mode) QSO"? I assume my eQSL will automatically show the right sort of confirmation depending on whether the person I send the eQSL to has an SWL or a HAM account? Am I right in assuming this?

My second question is:
When I change something to the design of my eQSL, will these changes also affect all the eQSL's I've sent in the past?
If so, that would mean that of an eQSL I receive and really like the design of I better make a copy, as the sender might change it in the future?

Thanks and 73s de Mike

Hi Michael,

1) Yes, when you answer an swl's eqsl, it automatically says "Confirming SWL reception ......."
you're right ! It detects the kind of account, Ham or SWL.

2) Yes !....and no

The changes you make will automatically affect ALL the eqsl's in your outbox, recent or old.
But of course, since most of your correspondents have already retreived your EQSL, they will keep the former version ....if they want the new one, they just have to download it again

Yes, if you like an EQSL, you'd better save it somewhere in case the sender changes it later on
