I recently completed a three day D-Day special event station GB8WQ. I uploaded my ADIF log to EQSL and most of my QSOs were soon in my inbox HOWEVER very few of them had the cross and tick action flags, many were blank in that respect although everything else is OK. I am at a loss to know how to process these incomers, and I don't understand how this can happen. Help!

The ones that have no option to confirm or reject are eQSLs that have been automatically confirmed, i.e., they match an entry in the ADIF file you uploaded.

All of the others that have the option to conform or reject are eQSLs that did not match your ADIF file, and assuming your logfile is accurate, should be rejected.

EDIT: I should add that the ADIF file you uploaded shows up in your outbox, these are the eQSLs you have sent. The ones in your inbox are eQSLs that users have sent you.

Thanks David,

That explains it! The others are still probably valid, we had two bands/modes and two logs (one handwritten which I don't have a copy of yet).

I am still a bit confused about normal operations (M0XDL) though, I thought I had set up automatic upload from HRD but nevertheless I have always had to "process" all of the EQSL inbox entries. (I have never uploaded an ADIF for my normal callsign, I only uploaded the GB8WQ log as an ADIF because my inbox was empty for that callsign and I wondered whether I had forgotten to set up auto upload).

I thought that Accept/Reject processing was necessary for all contacts and I put a lot of effort in to that activity. I am beginning to wonder whether I have been missing something here!

I would welcome your words of wisdom.

Hi Ray,

Well, the beauty of uploading your contacts either via ADIF or direct from your logging program is that you don't need to spend a lot of time processing your inbox, all inbox entries that match outbox entries are confirmed automatically.

I checked your home account, I see that you did one upload via HRD, back on 02/01/2013. So, you had it setup correctly at one point! No uploads via HRD since then.

I use HRD here too, so I can help. I don't have it up at the moment, it is loaded on my other computer, but from memory if you go to your HRD logbook, then go to Configure, you will see an item for eQSL.cc.

Within that eQSL.cc config screen you need to put in your username (callsign) and your password. In your case you only have one account, so you don't need to use the Nickname field. You will also see a checkbox there to auto-upload to eQSL, if you check that, as soon as you add an entry to your HRD log it will also be uploaded here in realtime.
