I just contributed so I cold use my own QSL design. I was trying to size the fonts larger in the QSO information box but after doing so the "white" area that it wants to put in the background does not resize appropriately so that it follows the font size as it gets larger. For now I went back to a smaller font.

Any suggestions?

So what does it require to get help here? I would have thought a representative from eQSL would be able to help with this?

If you had read the text before you pressed the "Enter the Forums" button you would have seen:

" If you need faster response to a problem, or if you have donations or postage account monies that have not been credited, do not use the Forums to get help. Use the Support EMail System instead."

These forums are designed for users to help each other, although there are a couple of AB members that check in from time to time. Official support is via the email link shown on that page, and also via the "Help!" link at the top of this page, and at various other places on the site.

Having said all that, what font size are you trying to use?

David,

I did read the text. All it says is -

"If you need faster response to a problem, ..."

I waited 24 hours, that doesn't seem "fast" to me. Perhaps you need to define "fast" for people? In this context fast may mean 1 or 2 hours, but it's not defined. Perhaps you should actually state a number - like 6 hours or 24 hours?

Nevertheless, when I use Tahoma font, either 10 pt or 9 pt, the white box does not resize to surround the text vertically. I can't go larger than 8 pt. Either I don't understand the system, or there are interactions that are not explained. If the larger fonts aren't supposed to be used, then they probably should not be available to the user.

While we're at it, I have another question - or suggestion. Ever since I've been using eQSL I've wondered why the "white box" is even there. To me, it ruins the look of the eQSL card. Since people have the ability to use colored fonts, why put that white box there at all?

Thanks,

Mike

Just tried it here, looks ok with 9pt but not 10pt, because as you pointed out the white box doesn't resize.

Difficult to just get rid of those options for just the QSO details dialogue, because that is a generic interface, it is used for all of the text put on the card.

In most cases the white box makes it easier to see the QSO details, even with using colored fonts those details can get washed out when a busy graphic is used for the card design.

You should understand that this site is run entirely as non-profit, everyone here works on a volunteer basis in their spare time. Might not be the speedy response you want, but we do our best.
