I 'd like to pay for my friend's upgrade to Silver membership as a gift.

There used to be an option on the donate screen where you could donate on behalf of another user.

The webmaster removed that option because for whatever reason people were using it by mistake, donating on behalf of someone else by accident, then contacting support asking why their membership level had not been upgraded, which meant we needed to contact the webmaster to get him to reverse the payment to one account and credit it to the other account.

So, ended up being more trouble than it was worth.
