Within the last few days I have noticed on new incoming eqsls in my inbox, none of them have the green confirmation check mark icon to allow me to manually verify the contact or the red x rejection icon. All I have displayed for each new contact is the archive checkbox. This is in both Chrome and IE browsers and I haven't made any changes to my account. Any ideas on what is happening here?

Thanks all and 73

The only time you will have the option to confirm/reject an inbox entry is when the inbox entry does not match an outbox entry. If there is already a matching contact in your outbox, the inbox entry is already confirmed.

Hey David,

That is not the issue I am describing. When I open my inbox now just to look at any incoming eqsl (not having acted on anything), none of my eqsls listed in the inbox have either of the two icons, only the archive box that can be checked. I cannot either sent a confirmation or reject one, only archive it.

Now I have gotten an email from a contact in Canada that said when the system was working several days ago, he got the email from eqsl saying I had sent the eqsl but he has not seen the eqsl in his inbox.

I still need to get this problem resolved or the system is effectively useless to me at this point.

Let me try again.

You will ONLY get the option to confirm/reject an incoming eqsl IF the incoming eqsl has not already been confirmed, i.e. there is no matching outbox entry.

If the incoming eqsl matches an entry in your outbox, it is automatically confirmed by the system, no additional action is needed on your part.

When you upload your contacts via ADIF file, or direct from your logging program, most of the contacts that show up in the inbox will NOT have the option to confirm/reject because they will match a contact that you uploaded. Any left that do have the option to confirm/reject should probably be rejected, because they do not match the log you uploaded.

But David I have uploaded no ADIF file at all to my account.

As I said in my original post this is all being done "manually." No ADIF files in use here at all and I have never used an upload ADIF file.

In my case the eqsl pops into the inbox, I have been manually entering the replies back to each station. I realize that is the hard way, but I haven't gotten to the point yet of uploading ADIF files from my Logger 32 program to date.

Larry, when I check your account I see many ADIF uploads, looks like they started on June 5th, 2015. Most recent uploads are couple on the 15th of this month, seven on the 14th, quite a few on the 5th. These were all one record ADIF files, so probably came from a logger doing automatic uploads. Maybe you configured your logger to do auto-uploads and then forgot??

At any rate, the next time you see a record in your inbox that does not have the option to confirm/reject, go and look in your outbox, I guarantee you will see a matching outbox entry.

Wow now you have blown my mind on this one Dave. I have to take your word on this but I am at a total loss how this is happening or what setup I have that is doing it.

I have done manual ADIF signed uploads to LOTW, but never to my knowledge eqsl from the Logger32 program. I went and checked all my recent LOTW uploads and non correspond with the info you passed above. I do have the LOTW_eqsl utility from N2AMG for that sort of thing, but have yet to implement it (still in its zipped form in my download file folder) for a number of reasons (i.e. time, etc).

So I have just changed my password here at eqsl. If something is doing that for me I hope to catch it in the act. BTW is there somewhere here that I can see those ADIF files that have been uploaded? I promise you I do understand how this is suppose to work.

This is just the darndest thing I have seen in my 40+ years of hamming. Thank you for all your help and when I do find it, I will let you know what stupid thing I did to cause this.

Appreciate your time and help

Larry, is it possible you set Logger32 up to do the eqsl uploads? I am not familiar with that program, but go and have a look at the eqsl config section and see if you have your eqsl login info there.

You can see everything you have uploaded by looking in your outbox, here: http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/OutBoxSelector.cfm

In any event, it sounds like you had everything setup there perfectly to do the uploads :)
