I would like to propose an eWorked all ZS award.

South Africa has 7 regions, ZS1, ZS2,ZS3,ZS4,ZS5,ZS6 and ZS8.

Call prefixes are ZS,ZR,ZU with only 2 assigned ZT prefixes for contest calls signs. The ZT call signs are ZT6T and ZT4T.

To qualify for the award I propose that the following number of contacts per call region be considered;

ZS, ZR or ZU 1 : 5 QSO's
ZS, ZR or ZU 2 : 3 QSO's
ZS, ZR or ZU 3 : 1 QSO
ZS, ZR or ZU 4 : 2 QSO's
ZS, ZR or ZU 5 : 4 QSO's
ZS, ZR or ZU 6 : 10 QSO's
ZS8 is a bonus with 1 QSO required.

Alternatively

If the above is too complicated (admittedly it is an adaptation of the WAZS award) then simply a single contact with an AG station in each region 1 through 6 with region 8 being a wild card could suffice.

I hope that makes sense.

Regards

Andre

I should have mentioned that special call signs are assigned the prefix ZS9 regardless of region.

Good day,

Suggestions on how to take this forward or improve the proposal will be appreciated. Alternatively if there is no way the idea will float then comments/guidance to that effect too would be welcomed at least it brings the matter to closure.

I would happily volunteer to to manage this with assistance should it be adopted.

Regards

Andre
