I believe I followed all the rules for changing QTH by timing out the old account and starting a new one. However I have only moved about 20km and stayed within the same state and the maidenhead locator has the same first 4 characters. When I go to awards I am told that all my award credits are not valid for my new account, when they should be.

It is because currently that new account has not received any credits, it needs to earn at least one. As soon as there is one eQSL received into the new account that message will go away.
BTW, you didn't really need to create a new account since the first four characters of the grid did not change, however it is perfectly ok for you to do that if that's what you want. 73, Dave - VA3KAB |
