Hi there, just a question. I receive many eqsls from OM stations who send their eqsls just for swl reports. They heard me and want an swl qsl back,
How may I do it? If I send them a eqsl back it would be like we had a QSO not just a courtesy swl card.
Any clues?
thank you.

Is it from a HAM station or an SWL station? They are treated differently in the database. You can tell by the text on the card which is generated by the system here, "Confirming 2-way QSO" for HAM accounts, and "confirming SWL reception" from SWL accounts.

If it is a HAM sending you and SWL report from his HAM account you should reject it for the reasons you stated, if he wants to send SWL reports he should also create an SWL account.

Tnx Dave, you clarified the point. Severall are OM calls with OM status claiming SWL reports and ask for a eqsl.
I will reject them explaining the reasons.

I think this is not good enough and should be user setable.
Why?
Because In addition to my primary account, just registered two beacons and they too never does 2-way QSO's. But they also get reports from other hams (and SWL's).

I have also gotten eQSL's (from this site) from SWL's to my beacons where the SWL'ers card wrongly states reception of a QSO. So the system is flawed and does not work even for SWL's (it states: "Confirming SWL Reception of SSB QSO", which is wrong of course.

The important part is the "Confirming SWL reception" part. That indicates it is coming from an account flagged in the database as an SWL account.

Contacts received from an SWL station do not count for awards, because no QSO took place.

The mode comes from whatever mode was logged.
