I log my QSO's on QRZ.com and use their Upload button to send my file to LOTW, as well as their LOTW download for confirmation updates. Works great. I HAVE been downloading my adif file from QRZ as a backup and also then uploading that into eqsl, mostly as a courtesy to those who collect eQSL awards, but since getting on FT4, this last part is no longer working. I can no longer upload to eQSL. I understand the substructure of the mode type categorization, but FT4 is just FT4 and to my logging, it is of no matter that it is a subset of mfsk, etc. I think the formal mode type definition on eqsl needs to be reviewed so that is it compatible with a simple 'FT4' designation and not an extrapolated set of mode designators. My two cents...

HI Bob,

I agree with you, I would have prefered a simple FT4 mode, but the ADIF developers group dictates the rules and we are playing by the rules

Thanks Guy. QUESTION: Since I don't have a lot of FT4 QSO's, if I wanted to edit my ADIF file, what do I put in place of FT4 in the Mode column? I tried MFSK and also MFSK;FT4, but no luck with thought I would ask for some direction, please. Tnx.

The correct mode is <MODE:4>MFSK<SUBMODE:3>FT4 in the adif file.
