QSLMSG Truncated after 240 characters (Note: The field called 'COMMENT' is normally used only for private comments and is NOT printed on the eQSLs

QSLMSG field

See the upload page :

STEP 2: WSJT-X: Import COMMENTS? (What is this?)

It all depends on HOW you upload your qso's to eqsl

If you upload an adif file, somewhere in the qso records, you must have :

<QSLMSG:24>TNX for the QSO, Best 73

for instance

If the field is <COMMENT> you would have to change it to <QSLMSG> (with a text editor....)

if you use a logger....I can only say that mine, SWISSLOG can split what remains private (comment) and what is displayed on the qsl cards (qslmsg) I don't know the others...........

I found this :

DXKeeper transmits the following information to eQSL.cc for each entry in the QSL Queue:
• Callsign of the station worked
• UTC date at which the QSO began
• UTC time at which the QSO began
• QSO Frequency
• QSO Band
• QSO Mode
• RST sent
• QSL message (the contents of this field will appear on the eQSL card)
• Propagation mode

Also :

QSL Msgs Tab
This tab provides 8 standard QSL messages, any one of which can be selected as the default QSL message via
the General tab's QSL msg selector. You can also chose from among these messages using the Capture
window's QSL msg selector, and make modifications there. Double-clicking one of these messages invokes a
Field editor. A QSL message's label will be highlighted in red if the maximum length is exceeded).

But I can't tell you more, I don't use it, know it

Maybe other DXkeeper users will inform you here ?

or ask in a dxkeeper forum....on the dxkeeper website ?

Guy
Thank You so much for all your help and research. I have used DXKeeper for a long time ans was not aware of the "QSL Msg" option. I also was not aware of the eQSL Forum. So overall this has been a very good learning experience for me.
