Hello, I am not happy with the picture quality of my own EQSL, M0IOW
I uploaded a jpeg picture of 568 kb, 1733 X 1138 pixels or 5.738 X 3.768 inches.
Is there a better size that would look better?

Any thoughts or help would be welcome.

Are you talking about the picture that appears on your eQSL card or the one used for your avatar in the forums? In my profile page my eQSL card is 15kb 240x153, my avatar is 76kb 644x538. When I go to 'My eQSL Design' page my eQSL picture is 99kb 528x336 pixels. I thought there was a limit to the size you can use. One limit for the Avatar and one for the eQSL design. They may automatically resize the picture depending on where you're trying to use it. I forget what the limits are, but you can try uploading a new picture and see what happens. Also try the 'Help!' link on top, I find that works the best.
Good Luck!

I have raised this issue before. The images of QSL cards are reduced to 96 dpi in the standard card size (3.5" x 5.5"), this translates to 528x336. It displays ok on-screen, but really does make for a mediocre to poor quality print depending on the amount of detail in the graphic. I'd love to see 300 dpi card images (1650 x 1050, which is, coincidentally, a common size of a modern widescreen monitor) which could give photo-quality prints.

From there, avatars and such are reduced further, so if you have a lot of fine detail, it can come out looking a little weird.

The short summary is: if you're uploading bigger than 528x336, you're wasting your time.

Hi, many thanks for your replys.
I am talking about the QSL card when printed out from EQSL, mine does not look as good as the picture I uploaded.
I will try another picture later,
Cheers.

Good luck Barry! I think the graphic size restrictions are based on server capacity more than anything else.
