Will a 5W HT and arrow type yagi shoot through clouds? I have had a few AO-51 passes with no signal heard and have attributed to this impediment.

Clouds are pretty transparent to 2m and 70cm radiation.
AFAIK, many people have worked AO51 with kenwood TH-F6A and an arrow antenna or similar setup. VE3OIJ P. Darin Cowan |
