I am working towards an eDX100. I currently have 33 countries validly confirmed, with around 500 QSOs. How many QSOs do you think I will need for the eDX100?

Diego,
I am also working for eDX100. I have 60 confirmed with 1653 QSOs in my OutBox and 310 in my Archive. So you can figure it out from there. Because you are in Europe, and depending what your antenna system is like, it may be easier for you. You are running about 7% confirmation toward eDX100, I have about 4%. My OutBox to Archive is about 19%, but not all are AG (-43). What we need to do is have more Amateures join and use eQSL.cc and also become AG.
Good Luck!

Hi Diego,
I too am working toward the eDX100 award. I currently have 97 confirmed with 4796 QSO's in my OutBox and 454 in my Archive. I actually have had a much better return rate with traditional paper QSL cards... I have 289 DX entities confirmed that way from the same 4796 QSO's. However, eQSL is still a relatively new aspect of our wonderful hobby, and new users are coming on line every day. So be patient, continue making and submitting QSO's and some day you will be rewarded with the 100 confirmations you need. Please pass the word about eQSL to all your fellow hams when you are on the air and encourage them to join and become AG.

Good Luck, Good DX, and 73 de KU4BL - Brian

Diego, 150 countries confirmed with over 6000 qso; but over 200 country worked in psk31. With many OM from Asia, confirms are very difficult!

To give every reader some more hope I add my statistic to this item :

with 1344 QSO I got 637 QSLs ( from which 82 are non-AG ) = that is 47 % verified ! ( 53 countries )

The reason for this may be that I work digital modes in 95 % of all QSOs and therefore most of my QSO-partners are using a pc .

Reply rate with eQSL in CW or SSB surely would not that good , looking to my local radio club , about 25 active on HF but only 3 using a PC , all others mostly CW and old paper log , no PC at all , you will never get an eQSL from them .

From what I see I think that there is room for intermediate awards between eDX and eDX100. It seems that you need to work 300 DXCC entities before you get your eDX100, and that's a lot!

I think that if there is enough merit in getting your first 25 countries confirmed via eQSL, there is even more merit in getting the next 25 which by default will be more difficult. Thus I think there should be an eDX50, which is probably equivalent in difficulty to the traditional 100-country awards. Probably also an eDX75.

Such a great gap between eDX and eDX100 may be demotivating for many.

Hello Diego ,
as in my poor knowledge of english i read the rules the following :

eEX100 for 100 countries , every additional 25 countries you can apply for the next one = 125 for example , then 150 and so on and this up to 300 countries , from then you can apply for every single new country to get a new award 301 302 303 ... . .

eDX you can get starting from 25 countries , and then you may apply then ever you like , no matter if 50 , 60 or so on

Diego , I think that is exactly what you want to have from eQSL . eQSL already offers all what you were asking .

As far as I understand the rules the difference between eDX and eDX100 awards is the fact that for eDX contacts via repeater and Echolink are counted but for eDX100 only direct HF contacts are counted .
But english is a foreign language to me as well .
May be someone else let us know if I understand the rules correctly .

I had 26 countries when I applied for the eDX, now I have 36 and I don't have the application option available any more. I only have the option to print my certificate (with 26 countries). If you can apply for the eDX twice please let me know how. It would be a nice option.
