My outbox shows a card for a QSO with W4GDC(Gareth Christian) on 5/18/09 and it is tagged as unretrieved. A check of W4GDC shows two members, no overlap on the registration dates, but the list of waiting cards does not show mine. Is there a problem here or can a card be purged without retrieving? Or am I missing something obvious. I did noticed he had 249 cards waiting, is there a limit?

Any help would be great

Hi,

Though dates don't seem to overlap there might be a problem in the end time of the 1st owner and the second's start because if you look at the qsls waiting for both of them, it's the same figure : 193 cards waiting and exactly the same calls.....not yours, and certainly none after 17 june 2008.
.....there's a trick somewhere, ask the support team

and :

-No, he can't purge your qsl, only YOU can do that. All that he can do is reject or accept you qsl and you would be advised...If he retrieves your qsl without confirming, it looks greyed in your outbox

-There's no limit to the number of cards in the inbox, when I helped EA9LZ with his account, he had 9000 or 10 000 qsls waiting for him.....

Thanks for the reply, Guy.

I guess I thought the support team cruised this support board. Hey, I'm learning!

Ok, I sent a note to support on the 28th....never got a reply and the issue is still there. Is this typical and should I just forget about this?

Typical, no. According to the number of requests in queue : 509, it can last a certain time....
But so far, I have always had a solution, if not an immediate answer.
Don't despair.
I put the same question today. Perhaps with my silver priority ?....

I have a reply from Rich W3ZJ :
"We have many lists, which one are you referring to? "

Perhaps the beginning of a solution ?

Hmm,

I just checked W4GDC's (Gareth D Christian) "see if card waiting" button and I still see the 200- some list of unretrieved cards, mine not among them. Do you understand Rich's question? I feel like I'm just missing some important point here, but the card is on my log/outbox, unarchived and undisplayed(based on shading) but it is not on his list of unretrieved cards.

I do appreciate your help on this, Guy. Next time you are in Columbus, OH, drinks are on me!

Yes, I do understand but I don't know why he asks ???.

I thought it was clear I was referring to the list of qsl cards waiting for Gareth D Christian, present holder of the W4GDC call sign

The 194 cards that are listed when you click on "see if cards waiting" all belong to the FORMER holder : Dale Conner.

Whatever account you choose, the result is the same anyway...and W4GDC has only ONE qso in his outbox, according to his profile !!!!

Something is locked in the database......

73 and thank you for your invitation ! Yes, I might go to Columbus

Well, I've watched the support inbox go from 140 to 50 to 200 and back to 46 so I'm pretty sure theygot my note on this problem. I guess either they don't know how to fix it or they don't care. That doesn't really say much for eQSL support. I guess I'll just have to live with it (and another similar error that showed up since the first one). I have to admit that I'm sort of disappointed in the lack of response to this by eQSL. I never received a single response from them directly.

Guy - I do appreciate your help and that offer still stands if you ever visit the area!
