I see HamSphere is back in beta testing. Since it is very similar to CQ100 is it supported as a eQSL? There appears to be no options but since I am a beta tester I thought that all those contacts to test it should not go unrecognized if possible.

Harold,
Even though I don't know anything about HamSphere or CQ100, I think it would be supported as a digital mode just like CW, PSK or RTTY. In the Manual Log Entry page click on the Mode dropdown and see what matches the closest. Is it something like EchoLink? I guess I'll have to Google them.

CQ100 is not a digital mode. It's not radio, amateur or otherwise. There's no radio involved.

If CQ100 is to count as an amateur radio mode, why not support Skype, MSN and Vonage? Functionally, technically, they're the same as CQ100 except for the user interface. If you identify per your licence terms, there's no difference between a Vonage VOIP call and CQ100.

At least with IRLP there can be radio involved.

Hey Guys, lets be realistic... Ham Radio, after all, involves some kind of electromagnetic radiation and antennas and such. HamSphere and CQ100 and whatever they are called are communication over the Internet, and thus they are connected over wire.

I think we should keep up the original ideas of our hobby. Is anyone afraid of Ham Radio operators becoming an extinct species? If you have listened to the recent pile-ups of FT5GA (just to mention one of many), then you will know, this is definitely not the case.
