WSJT8 is a new program from K1JT with new modes. Will eQsl start accepting these new modes.

ISCAT

JT64A

JT8

Already I have JT8 mode qso's I want to upoload and I'm sure I'll have some of the other modes to upload soon.

Thanks

Hi Eddy,

It's a chicken and egg problem, sort of.

None of the modes you cite is contained in the current ADIF specification (2.2.6) let alone the older version employed by eQSL (2.2.5). This also means that your logging program cannot generate a compliant ADIF file because the enumeration for these modes isn't published for the coders to implement.

I don't know what the validation scheme is for the eQSL database, i.e., whether undefined values are rejected, but until everything is synched, you may have to rely on the QSLMSG field to handle bleeding edge modes.

What?!? You're still wasting time and money sending QSL cards via Snail Mail? Whatever for? Go Unpostal!

Hi Doug,

LotW lets you add modes under " Data" But they don't recognize them for any awards that I know of. It would be great to be able to upload them for the future if and when they are ever accepted. I was also wondering if it was possible to add modes to ADIF but you answered that for me.

Thanks
Eddy
