Some of the contests recommend using "/#" when operating in an area outside your normal call area. I have done just that and have operated as W6ZF/1 on SSB and W6ZF/W1 on CW. It has resulted in less questions asking if I am in "6 land" but it has brought up another thing...DX stations who have worked me indicate that they have me in their logs as one or the other " /1" or "/W1"...Is there a way in eQSL to show that? I currently reside in the first US call area and have the call sign of my deceased uncle.

One can suggest that I just go back to plain W6ZF...without the "portable one" or "stroke one" but then things will go back to numerous questions asking if I'm in California...especially in CW when the exchange is 599 MA and they ask "CA?" especially when sigs aren't really 599 but 339 or worse. I send dahdah didah and not dahditdahdit didah.....Arghhhh!

I just ran into this same thread in the English support area. Maybe this will work for now...I placed my contest calls W6ZF/1 and W6ZF/W1 under my former calls on the face of my eQSL card design.
