Dave, I was looking over the promotional items that are available and did not see any pins. Pins would be nice to hand out as a gift at a local club level, wear on a hat, shirt, jacket lapel, ect. ect. A suggested price would be in the $5 range. What are your thoughts ?

Good ides Ken. I have also told Dave that I would probably order a golf shirt if he offerd one with a pocket. I have three of them hanging in my closet from when I helped Dave man a booth at Dayton but I never wear them because I don't wear shirts witout a pockets.

Another thought now that you have me thinking about this. I also have an eQSL mouse pad that I don't use because I know that bright white pad would very soon be a dull gray pad. It wold be much more practical if it was a dark blue or black color.

Just for the record, I promote eQSL on my website, with an active link. My site receives about a 100 hits a day (Not bad for a ham radio site!). Have always though eQSL was a GREAT idea.

And commenting on the eQSL mouse pad... I have the one with the calculator which came with my Gold status. I thought at first it was great. But the black eQSL logo has very quickly worn off, and the smooth surface (already grey) does not seem so compatible with my old non-optical mouse. At least the calculator is quite handy...

Thanks for that review Dave; I'm sure it will be helpful to some who are trying to decide which award they would like.

Mouse pads are a funny thing. They are the among lowest tech items we have in our ham shack/computer rooms. Yet it can be quite difficult to get one that works well for you and the particular mouse you happen to be using. I'm currently using the standard eQSL mouse pad but I find that on humid days the area where the red ink is can become sticky causing my normally very smooth Logitech MX1000 laser mouse to stick annoyingly. Thus I have it sitting on my desk sideways and try to avoid moving the mouse over that area of the pad.

I have just done likewise Alan... eQSL provides an excellent service to the hobby and this is a great way to show appreciation. I like your site btw.

I promote EQSL on my SSTV site as it is a natural match with DIGITAL modes as a lot of SSTV staions have websites itr works to get the message out there......

http://users.tpg.com.au/adslsymb/VK6AAL/

Looking to work 100 countries on SSTV and EQSL so I will be ginving ti a plug everywhere I can....

What about an area on EQSL where hams can select there area of interest and add there URL to an index it all helps to get the word around then each site must have an EQSL lookup bar to list in the index, just an idea.

The idea of promotional items is excellent... however, where does a person find them. Looked at all of the headings on the site, and there was nothing about promotional items.

Love eQSL, keep up the good work.

Frank,
The shirts are nice, but I like your Ham parking sign better. Where did you get it?
