Every time I try to setup a new account, I get errors, that do not have anything to do with my dates. I contacted the previous holder of the call sign and he said he logged in and made the necessary changes. But I still cannot create a second account for the new call sign. The error message isn't very clear. Can a moderator look at the dates from both accounts? It could let me know if I am fighting a loosing battle.

My dates
NM4M Grant 9/20/2008
K4DGW Grant 10/22/2002 Cancel Date 9/20/2008

Dave,
What does the error message say? I have multiple accounts and have made sure that the start date of one is at least one day after the end date of the other. Your grant date is the same as the cancel date and that may be the problem. The only problem I can see in changing the dates is if any of the parties have confirmed eQSLs on that 9/20/2008 date. Hope this helps.

The error message seems to reference dates far outside of what I am dealing with.
=====================================
Sorry, the dates conflict with this existing account:
NM4M Start: 03-Apr-1981 00:00 End: 10-Feb-2009 18:25

To correct this problem,
change the Start or End dates of
either the old account above
or the new account you are registering.

My call history
http://www.ae7q.com/data/FrnHistory.php?FRN=0005380100

The dates I put in on my profile and the new one I tried to create, are as follows;
K4DGW Oct 22, 2002 00:00 -> Sep 19, 2008 23:59
NM4M Sep 20, 2008 00:00 -> Sep 20, 2020 23:59

I have spoken to the fella that had the call before, and he said he made changes, but not being able to see what dates he has, and with this error message calling all back to 1981 (I was first licensed in 2001) I'm not sure what, if anything I can do.

Any ideas are appreciated. I used eQSL in the past, and would like to use it again, but can't get past this.

When I look up NM4M, I get;
NM4M (Forest E. Summers Jr.) 03 Apr 1981 to 10 Feb 2009 was a user of eQSL.cc but is not registered any more

Which conflicts with my dates;
K4DGW Oct 22, 2002 00:00 -> Sep 19, 2008 23:59
NM4M Sep 20, 2008 -> Sep 20, 2020 23:59

I have dropped a note to Forest, and he has been helpful, but not sure what he can do since it says he is not registered anymore.

When I look up my old call, it comes up with the numbers I expect;
K4DGW (David Wilburn) 22 Oct 2002 to 19 Sep 2008 is a registered user of eQSL.cc

If someone can let me know what needs to be done to NM4M, I can pass it along to Forest and see what he can do.

Dave,
If you can't get this resolved by using the 'Help!' link above, I suggest you go to your Profile page and change the start date of your NM4M call to 11 Feb 2009. However, you may lose access to any eQSLs that you got from before that day. Unless Forest can re-register and change his End Date to Sep 19 2008. If he can't remeber his old password, that may be a problem.

Ok thanks. I thought the admin's would have a bit more control. For example if someone has an extended time provisioned, and then becomes a SK. Then I suppose that call sign is not available.

If I upload my logs, and I am not able to receive QSLs during this "gray" period, will the folks whose QSLs I have submitted receive credit?

I would suggest not to upload the logs from the grey period until that is resolved. Afterwards, it should be OK and any QSOs that can, should auto confirm.

I have a similar problem as K4DGW above. I recently became active in ham radio again after years of absence. I decided to get vanity call sign and selected AC8R. When I registered, I found another person had already registered with this call in 2007. At the moment this hasn't affected any eQSL's. However, if I try to change my QTH nickname, I get the following message:

****
ERROR!
You already have a QTH nicknamed
in OH Stark USA
starting 01-Jul-2007 00:00
and ending 31-Dec-2020 00:00

You cannot have overlapping Start and End dates for any accounts with the same identical callsign AC8R
Otherwise we will not know where to deposit incoming eQSLs.
****

I used the start and end dates on my license. 11-13-2009 and 11-13-2019. Any suggestions?
