Dave,

Yes, that would definitely be unacceptable. I hadn't considered it from that angle.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Hi,

I've not found this exact issue in a forum search. Here's my issue.

I operate from multiple QTH's, and create a new sub-account for each operation. As a result, I have close to 50 sub accounts.

When I operate from a location in which I tack a /3 (for example) onto my callsign, hams try to send an eqsl to KD8MQ without the /3, and there's no match.
Or
I'll operate from there, and not add the /3, but hams qsl to KD8MQ/3, which also causes problems.

Either way, I wind up with unmatched QSOs. So, I had an idea. before I try this, I wanted to post it here.

My idea is to create two separate, sub-accounts for each portable operation outside of my call area. These would be exactly identical, in all respects, except for the callsign. One would be KD8MQ, and the other KD8MQ/3. I then upload those logs twice; once to each account.

This way, I would be covered either way.

So, what's the verdict? Will this work?

I'm definitely open to suggestions if someone has an easier way to do this.

Thanks in advance,

John, KD8MQ

Dave,

Thank you for your response. I was hoping that to be the case.

Hi,

I tried to use the search box to find the answer to my question but was unable to find an answer.

I just updated my QSL card info on two of my accounts. i.e. I added my portable location to the card.

Will the changes apply to all my cards in those accounts (even those which have been archived), or just any new incoming cards?

Thanks,

John, KD8MQ

<If you always operate portable in the same Grid Square, then one account should suffice. >

Wow, I think I just made this way more difficult than I needed to. I've been creating a new sub-account each time I left for a portable operation, and another when I returned home.

So can I add multiple dates of operation for the sub-accounts? I thought I had to have a new account for each set of dates.

Thanks,

John, KD8MQ

Hi,

I do a couple portable operations a year. This weekend, I decided to FINALLY get my eQSL accounts set up properly. I tried it a couple years ago, and did what I consider a poor job of it. I'm dealing with multiple issues, all of which are self-inflicted. So, my apologies in advance to the support volunteers. So here's one of the issues.

When I go portable for the PA QSO Party, I sign KD8MQ/3. When I set up my accounts for those operations, I set them up using that KD8MQ/3. I'm wondering if I should have left the /3 in the account callsigns?

Does this need to be changed? If so, can I do it myself, or submit a support ticket?

While I have been registered on eQSL for a few years, I consider myself a total newbie here.

Thanks in advance,

John, KD8MQ
