Good day, Suggestions on how to take this forward or improve the proposal will be appreciated. Alternatively if there is no way the idea will float then comments/guidance to that effect too would be welcomed at least it brings the matter to closure. Perhaps to further clarify, the award could be called eAfrica ( has a local ring to it)  and follow the approach taking for eEurope (mixed, CW etc) with the required DXCC entities being a minimum of 24 and exclude the islands.Regards Andre ZS1JEN Andre le Roux

I would like to propose for consideration and e Work Africa Award. Africa comprises 54 countries which includes the islands, Mauritius, Sao Tome and Principe, Comoros, Seychelles, Cabo Verde and Madagascar. If one excludes the islands then there are a total of 48 independent states on the continent proper. To qualify for the award contacts with AG stations in 24 African countries as per DXCC needs to be made with the islands excluded from consideration. Regards Andre ZS1JEN Andre le Roux

I would like to propose an eWorked all ZS award. South Africa has 7 regions, ZS1, ZS2,ZS3,ZS4,ZS5,ZS6 and ZS8. Call prefixes are ZS,ZR,ZU with only 2 assigned ZT prefixes for contest calls signs. The ZT call signs are ZT6T and ZT4T. To qualify for the award I propose that the following number of contacts per call region be considered; ZS, ZR or ZU 1 : 5 QSO's ZS, ZR or ZU 2 : 3 QSO's ZS, ZR or ZU 3 : 1 QSO ZS, ZR or ZU 4 : 2 QSO's ZS, ZR or ZU 5 : 4 QSO's ZS, ZR or ZU 6 : 10 QSO's ZS8 is a bonus with 1 QSO required. Alternatively If the above is too complicated (admittedly it is an adaptation of the WAZS award) then simply a single contact with an AG station in each region 1 through 6 with region 8 being a wild card could suffice.
