Cosimo,
I upload my log data, on the average, once a week. And like you wait on many who are members to upload their log data to confirm contacts. Remember, this is a provided service to our hobby and one cannot make another do what one thinks should be done immidately or for that matter done at all. We want to encourage use of the site and if we supended their accounts that would drive user's away and give the site a bad name. We do not want that to happen.
I continue to recieve cards via the buro even though I tell the other station('s) that I do not use the buro because of the cost involved on this side of the ocean. I wish they would not send, but I can not make them stop. I tell you this only to help you understand that we can not force users to upload their log data. Hope this answers your question.

Support - English speaking » eQSL when operating portable? Mar 13, 2006 08:41 PM (Total replies: 1)

Phil, you can set up another account with your call/ (what ever it is) ie: KD7ZD/3. Then with the dates that cover that operation and then upload you log data that covers that operation. Make sure you link the accounts together.
From the main page, once you sign in, click on My Profile, scroll down to the bottom of the page and there should be a form for setting up a new account. Fill in the info and click on the "Create New" button.

Promoting eQSLs to ham organizations » Promotional Items Dec 2, 2005 07:04 PM (Total replies: 14)

Dave, I was looking over the promotional items that are available and did not see any pins. Pins would be nice to hand out as a gift at a local club level, wear on a hat, shirt, jacket lapel, ect. ect. A suggested price would be in the $5 range. What are your thoughts ?

eContest Suggestions » Qso Party Nov 28, 2005 12:28 PM (Total replies: 45)

As an avid contester, I agree with Tim. I work as many as I can during the contest. Upload my log to eQSL and hope for the best on comformation. (Remember) this site was started as a fast way to exchange QSL Cards that confirm the QSO. If the card I get is from someone that has AG status well, that is a plus BUT, not a requirement. (AG is only a requirement in striving for the awards that are offered by eQSL)
I have sent many, many requests out asking for the individual to get their AG status. Some do and some don't. It is the individual's preference >not a requirement<. I have over 17,000 contacts in the database and still do not have eDXCC because the other parties involved choose not to get AG status (their call). When the award comes, it comes I shall not dwell on it.
Bottom line here is: That we do not (force) users to get AG status > that will drive people away< We encourage them to do so but again. the orginal purpose of the site was/is a fast and inexpensive way to exchange QSL cards. ie: useing today's technoligy.

My opinion - for what it's worth !

Other suggestions » Uploading logs Nov 24, 2005 08:52 PM (Total replies: 11)

I recommend VQLOG written by EA6VQ. You can download a copy for free use and if you like it, register it. And, the data is saved in ADIF format and easy to upload to eQSL. You will truly be amazed at all the things this program does.
